Community Involvement

Our community growth is a sign of success and opportunity, and at St. Cyr and Associates we are dedicated to helping our clients achieve their dreams.

We are always developing innovative ways to connect with all segments of our community with sponsorships, events, and simply just connecting with people. As a community, we collaborate, we care, and we achieve together.

AC15 Hockey tournament

Since 2018, we are heavily involved in supporting and helping to organize and host a local women's hockey tournament in memory of a phenomenal young and talented female hockey player who passed away tragically in 2017 at 19 years of age. Alexa Corneil was an amazing athlete, whose passion for the game helped spur the growth of local hockey for girls of all ages. In only 4 years, over $54,000 was raised for the Alexa Corneil Memorial Fund (via the Temiskaming Foundation) which supports organizations that would have been important to Alexa (i.e. local sports initiatives and heart related research, CPR training, etc.), and in the end, will benefit our community as a whole. So far, we have upgraded one of the change rooms at the Haileybury arena in Alexa's honour (to make it extra special for girl's teams) with individual player's stalls, new dry erase board, a new hockey sticks holder, new LED lights, painted with our local Puckhounds' colours, and you guessed it, a new room number: room #15, which represents Alexa’s jersey number.

In the fall of 2024, we will begin the refurbishment of the Shaver Park outdoor rink complete with a paved surface for the outdoor rink, the repair of the end goal fences and the installation of a painted bicycle obstacle course on the paved surface at Shaver Park in North Cobalt. St.Cyr & Associates is proud to support these endeavours.

Temiskaming Bike Exchange

Temiskaming Bike Exchange

The Temiskaming Shores's annual Bike Festival's main goal is to donate refurbished bicycles to children/families who may not be able to afford one. Through the 'Recycle your Bicycle' Program, we collect bicycles all year round. Each year, a team of dedicated volunteers brings them back to life and the hundreds of bikes are donated to local families. So far, over 250 bicycles have been given back to the community, free of charges. St.Cyr & Associates is proud to be involved, and support this wonderful project.

Sports

At St. Cyr and Associates, we are strong advocates for sports and staying active. We believe that each child should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports, or music. That is why we continually support the Healthy Kids Community Project and several sports teams in the area - baseball, hockey, soccer, swimming, basketball, golf, and curling.

Temiskaming Shores Christmas Wish

Temiskaming Shores Christmas Wish

St.Cyr & Associates continues to be involved and support the Temiskaming Shores Christmas Wish each year. The goal of the program is to raise money to provide gifts of new clothing and toys to less fortunate school aged children. This program is very special to us as it directly impacts close to 450 local children and their families.
